Katrina Gleed opened the Atkinson Hair Depot to honor her father, Carlton W. Gleed. Carlton was a World War II Veteran and lived in Plaistow, right down the street from the shop, for many years. It was Carlton's idea to offer a special discount for veterans, which is something that we proudly offer in his memory. Katrina wanted to open a cozy, classic shop with a patriotic feel, something that her father would be proud of.
